My Wife Looked At Another Man’s “Package”! And Got Caught!
My wife, Jade, just finished her fourth quarter of Physician Assistant School at Wake Forest University. (Only one more quarter to go before she begins the year long practicum part of her experience!) To celebrate the completion of the fourth quarter of school my wife is vacationing in Nashville, Tennessee, this week with her mother and grandmother.
While in Nashville they have enjoyed a wide variety of entertainment. From touring the Grand Ole Opry and the famous homes in the area, to driving to Memphis and visiting the hotel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, and St. Jude’s Hospital, they are having a lot of fun! Tonight (Friday, March 4) the 3 ladies are going to a Carrie Underwood concert at the Grand Ole Opry!
But perhaps the greatest entertainment of the week was the most unintentional.
While eating out last night at John A’s Restaurant in Nashville, Jade made her way to the restroom. After completing her task and washing her hands, Jade noticed a portrait of a very buff, and very nude man on the wall of the restroom. However to protect the innocent, the very buff and very nude man’s “package” was covered up with a lift tab. And on the tab the following was written, “WARNING: Do Not Lift Tab!”
Curious and inquisitive as Jade is, she raised her thin and beautiful hand to the corner of the tab, she paused. Reread the warning, and wondered what real harm could possibly follow.
Oh boy! The temptation must have been undeniable!
So with little effort, Jade lifted the tab.
Thinking she might see the man’s “package”, or (even better) a smiley face, Jade was unnerved and shocked when the restaurant’s fire alarm was triggered when she lifted the tab.
Sirens and bright lights filled the restroom and restaurant! And as Jade let go of the tab and watched it fall back into position, she knew she was caught. There was no denying. My wife looked at another man’s “package”. And GOT CAUGHT!
As Jade reluctantly walked out of the restroom, people from all over the restaurant, including waiters and waitresses began looking to see the individual that fell into temptation. Laughter erupted from all corners of the restuarant as Jade walked across the restaurant and back to her seat.
She called me shortly after incident and shared with me the lesson she learned: warnings have a purpose.
