Have You Ever Had A “Price Is Right” Moment?
One of my all-time favorite television game shows is “The Price Is Right.” From the announcement of the show contestants, to the Showcase Showdown, “The Price Is Right” is chock full of fabulous prizes and magical memories. Like this one (fast forward to the 6:00 minute mark!) The expression on contestant’s faces is PRICELESS!!! Especially when their name is called! For that moment, this experience transcends reality and it feels like a dream! They are in awe of the opportunity to win this huge prize, so they carefully listen to the instructions, and play the game accordingly. So that hopefully the results are similar to this.
Have you ever experienced a “Price Is Right” moment? You know, the kind where you just stand in awe at the magnificence of the moment!
I bet the shepherds in the fields near Bethlehem had a “Price Is Right” moment when angels from the heavens appeared to them to announce the birth of Jesus Christ. Can you imagine the excitement, wonder, and awe that must have filled that moment? God Himself had sent these shepherds a personal message. It was their own “Price Is Right” moment! It must have been wonderful! While terrifying at the same time. And what about the trip from the fields to the manger? This was a real life invitation to “Come on down!!!!!” I bet it was tough for the guys to talk! No doubt they were star-struck.
